Pasado’s Safe Haven rescued Tee in 2015 from life on a chain guarding a junk yard. He was 10 years old and completely blind from drug-related chemical exposure. Once rescued and safe at Pasado’s Safe Haven, Tee got the care and loving family he always deserved. Lucky for us, we got to spend 6 years with Tee at our sanctuary. He was one of the happiest and most joyful animals you’ll ever meet, and became a beloved member of our sanctuary family.

Tee had an increasing number of health issues as he aged, but he surprised us year after year by maintaining good spirits and allowing us to continue to love and celebrate him. In April of 2021, we celebrated his 16th birthday party at the sanctuary with all his favorite people, treats, and over 70 gifts given in his honor from our community. It truly was a special day.

Just a few days later, Tee passed away peacefully surrounded by his many friends.

He was so loved by his incredible caregivers who gave him their whole heart, as well as our volunteers and staff, and by the thousands of people who followed his story. There was something about Tee that continues to reminds us all to slow down, enjoy the sunshine and embrace life – regardless of what you’ve had to face in life. We love you Tee, it was a privilege to care for you.
