Neuter is Cuter

Join us for the Neuter is Cuter event on Feb 21

Pasado’s Safe Haven is wholly committed to aggressive spay/neuter efforts and the prevention of unwanted litters. We are happy to host the second annual “Neuter is Cuter” day on Sunday, February 21st, in Whatcom County. The Whatcom Education, Spay and Neuter Impact Program (WeSNIP) will be offering male cat neutering for only $5.00. Make your reservation today to be a part of this important event and support “Spay Day USA.”

Every year in Washington State, more than 60,000 dogs and cats are euthanized in area shelters. Preventing pregnancies in dogs and cats is the first step in decreasing this euthanasia rate. Every additional unwanted pregnancy is essentially a “death sentence” for animals who are already waiting in shelters, because there simply isn’t enough room in households for every innocent life.

Pasado’s is proud to be at the forefront of spay and neuter efforts that save lives and allow altered pets to live longer, healthier lives. Unaltered pets are more prone to urinary tract infections, transmitted diseases, and certain cancers. Altering your pet is responsible, humane, and kind for them and for every animal who has yet to find their forever home.

Last year, during the first annual “Neuter is Cuter” day, WeSNIP staff, local veterinarians and their teams, and dedicated volunteers neutered 149 male cats. Within the span of six hours, countless innocent lives were saved and innumerable unwanted litters were prevented. This year, we hope to neuter even more male cats, and we hope that you will be a part of this special day. Fixing male cats is a minimally invasive surgical procedure and it’s one of the easiest and safest ways to address cat overpopulation.

Be a part of the solution: save lives, prevent additional euthanasia in area shelters, and ensure the health and longevity of your male cat. Click here to be a part of this amazing event – and help us to stay a cut above in the fight against pet overpopulation. Thank you, from all of the animals here at Pasado’s Safe Haven!
