Silly Shep has both beauty and brains, and he hopes to find his forever family.
Shep is curious about everything! This inquisitive seven-year-old Border Collie/Husky mix is blessed with both brains and beauty. True to his breeding, smart Shep likes to stay in step with his human, and he looks forward to having a “job” to do. Shep is sure to make a loyal and loving companion, and he hopes to find a position as faithful friend to his forever family.
Like many of the dogs who we rescue from area shelters, Shep was in poor health when he first came to Dog Towne. He was emaciated and infested with hook worms, but after some much-needed TLC, he’s currently in good health. He’s working on gaining his weight back and all he needs to feel whole is a home of his own.
Although Shep hadn’t received any formal training before coming to Pasado’s, his energy, intelligence, and attentiveness would make him an excellent candidate for agility work. After working with Shep, it became evident that he was never been given the love and time that he deserves, but he’s willing and eager to learn. Shep didn’t even know his basic commands, but this smart boy learned the command for “sit” in only 15 minutes!
Shep never makes you wonder what he’s thinking. This beautiful boy’s face says it all: his expressive white brows move as he “talks,” and his deep brown eyes watch your every movement.
Shep is a loveable, active boy who has a constant smile and loves to give kisses. This mischievous soul is too smart for his own good sometimes, and he needs a home where he will have constant human companionship at first. Shep is so eager to please, but he needs to have a patient person to show him how to be a dog. He is looking for a home with no cats, but he wouldn’t mind having a canine sibling. Shep enjoys relaxing as much as he likes to play, and
is always up for a cuddle.
Does Shep sound like he’s the right fit for your family? If so,
please click here to start the adoption process. And if you’re not looking to add to the family at this time, please consider
making a donation. Every week, the Pasado’s crew heads out to area shelters, seeking to save those who would otherwise fall through the cracks. Your donation can help us save the next life from euthanasia – and help us continue to make a world of difference for the animals.
Thank you, from all of the deserving dogs here at Pasado’s Dog Towne!

(don't forget
to ask your employer to match your donation)
