AARFF: Adoptable Dogs

Pasado's Safe Haven's army of volunteers scours area shelters looking for the gray-muzzled and arthritic, and bring them home to live out their golden years. They spend their days wandering gentle, wooded paths, free of chains and ropes.  They spend their nights on thick beds in beautiful heated barns. And any medical need they may require, from daily arthritis medication to fluid therapy to assist with kidney disease or diabetes, is guaranteed for life.

Although their stay at the beautiful Pasado's sanctuary is as comfy as possible, they are still searching for their forever homes.  Is that with you?

Tyler

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Blind due to cataracts, Tyler wasn’t always blind. He bumps into things trying to feel his way around but once familiar can settle right in to his environment. He is a pretty timid guy at first but loves being held and cuddled. Tyler is a Silky terrier about ten years old.

Diego

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Diego came to us scared and bewildered. He belonged to a colony of feral dogs that were in need of relocation in order to save their lives. Now, this friendly seven month old pup loves to cuddle, giving kisses and getting his belly scratched! Diego is a bright boy who learns quickly. Diego has gorgeous markings to match his beautifully sweet personality. Diego is currently living with one of our caretakers until he finds his forever home.

Greta

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Greta is a cute senior Teacup Chihuahua. This little girl can fit into the palm of your hand! She has a bum knee that will require surgery.
A shy but inquisitive little girl, she would like a quiet home with lots of lap time with her new family.

Gina

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Gina is looking for someone who can teach her that humans are not as scary as she thinks. This curious girl is comfortable eating out of peoples hands and will follow you around, but is still unsure about being petted. She even responds to her name.  Gina needs a foster home that has the time and patience necessary for her to overcome her fear of humans. She could flourish in a stable home built on trust and companionship.

Wolfe

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Wonderful Wolfe came to Pasado’s with a large growth on the middle of his forehead. After we removed it, we were able to see what a handsome eight year old lab mix Wolfe truly is! This guy has a gorgeous golden coat and a mellow yellow attitude. He is about 8-years-old and loves to play outside and go on walks. Wolfe can’t wait to find his forever family.

Rio

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Rio is a wonderful one and a half year old. He has all the spirit and the inquisitiveness of any youngster. What makes this beautiful dog special is he was born deaf and mostly blind. Driven by his sense of smell and touch, Rio is an incredible dog with a huge heart. He walks well on the leash and will cuddle on your lap when not asking you to play. He will need a loving home that is ready to work with him and embrace his unique situation.

Bella

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Bella is a beautiful, nine year old large Labrador mix with expressive gray eyebrows who wears a constant smile. This sweet senior is approximately ten year old, but she is still young at heart. Bella loves to lope around her yard, play in the water, and have her sides scratched. She would do well in a home with other dogs, but she isn’t recommended for a home with cats. Bella can’t wait to find her special someone!

Annabelle

Foster a Dog Adopt a Dog

Annabelle is a Smooth Collie about ten years old. She has been blind her entire life. She gets along with older more gentle dogs who match her laid-back personality. Once she is familiar with her surroundings, she is very independent. At the sanctuary, she easily navigates a dog door into a gated enclosure to access the outside. She will need a family that can spend a lot of time with her. Come and meet this special girl.

In Foster Care

Chelsea

  Adopt a Dog

Chelsea is the lap dog of your dreams! She may not fetch a ball, but she is always up for some lap time on the couch. Chelsea is about eight years old and is a small Chihuahua mix with a great big personality. She's eager to please, smart and just a tad mischievous. She has bounds of little dog energy and would be a great companion to children of any age.

Wrigley

  Adopt a Dog

Wrigley is a curious boy and wants to soak up the love from his human companions. He is doing well in his foster home and every day becomes more adjusted to the people around him. He is one of our formerly 'feral dogs' rescued from Oregon. He would do well in a stable home built on trust and companionship just like his friend Big.

John

  Adopt a Dog

John came to Pasado’s as a very frightened guy. He’s quickly learned that we are here to help, and every day he trusts us just a little bit more. John's soft brown eyes disguise a past that is no doubt filled with pain, fear and abuse.  But John has nothing to fear from here on out. When we first met John, he was very nervous on the leash, but now he’s happily prancing by our side. A new family and a home of patience and love will be the best remedy for this sweet nine year old boy.

Eloise

  Adopt a Dog

Eloise is a eleven year old Labrador Retriever mix with an affable smile and a regal grey muzzle. With her sleek black coat and her floppy ears, Eloise is both elegant and amusing. Eloise has all of the traits that you could ask for in a family pet: she’s sweet, friendly, quiet, and calm. She enjoys going for strolls and loves to show off her excellent leash manners. Eloise is a sharp gal who also knows her commands.  Eloise knows the worth of spending quality time with that special someone! Could this be you?
