Dottie was rescued from a breeding operation and is a sweetheart with the kindest soul and gentle eyes. She is 3-5 years old and weighs 92 pounds. She is still learning to feel secure in the world and is nervous and cautious of her human friends. She can take awhile to trust someone new and might keep her distance when you first meet her and not let you pet her right away. She is however very interested and curious about people and loves her treats. Dottie loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another happy, confident dog to bond with and learn from. She can't wait to find her best dog friend and love them forever! She loves laying on her dog bed in the sunshine and is so happy she can finally relax and start living the good life. Dottie needs a home and family with some extra love and patience to continue helping her heal and show her she will now only experience love, happiness and the care she deserves. She will need some help with house training, walking on a leash and other basic doggie things but she will give you nothing but all her love in return! Aurora is a one-of-a-kind dog with a beautiful smile. She is athletic, agile and would be happy to play fetch and run in a big backyard. Aurora is approaching her one year anniversary at Pasado’s Safe Haven and at 3 years old we are ready for her to have the forever home she deserves. She came to us from Oregon Humane and has spent over 2 years of her life in a shelter environment. We want her to once again know what a warm home and a loving family feels like.

She came to us with some anxious habits - she was more interested in the stimulating environment around her than the people she was with. To help her connect, she has been trained at Sparks K9 in Monroe, WA and we have seen Aurora rise up to the challenge. Her favorite caregivers are now gifted with kisses, hugs and excited tail wags from Aurora when she greets them. She is learning to feel calm and relaxed in her environment.

She makes a huge impact on anyone who meets her - Aurora’s vibrant energy is infectious! Just this past year, a person who used to run with Aurora at Oregon Humane drove all the way to the sanctuary to see her again. Even so much time had passed, Aurora knew him in an instant and greeted him with kisses. She stuck by him for the whole visit, happy to see her friend. Aurora can’t wait to have that connection once again with her next family.

She will always be a high-spirited, energetic dog who needs an owner who is just excited for training as she is. Her ideal home would be one without small dogs and cats due to her energy. She has lived with a dog before in August 2013 and with proper training and introduction from an experienced owner this could be a possibility for her in the future. If you would like to be Aurora’s new family, fill out an adoption questionnaire today!

May is a sweet girl, but she is very shy around people. She will need a lot of patience and love as she learns to be comfortable around a new person. She's happy to play fetch and romp around with some similar sized male dogs, but is not interested in the company of most female dogs. With any new dog friend, she will need a proper introduction as she is sometimes hit or miss with new dogs. She is a graceful, slender dog who loves to go on walks and loves to explore her environment. She has lived in the caregiver office at our sanctuary before where she calmly and quietly enjoyed watching the staff work.

May's ideal home would be one without children, female dogs or cats so she could have time to settle into a home environment. She gravitates towards women and tends to be more timid around men. She would also do very well with a friendly male dog in the household to help her come out of her shell. A house with a fenced yard is strongly preferred. If this beautiful girl is for you, fill out an adoption questionnaire today!

Tee is one of the good guys. He’s sweet, silly, and snuggly wishing only to please those around him. He is an older guy who would just as soon nap in a warm bed all day as he would go for a walk or play outside with his family. Sometimes his caregivers even have to wake him up for his dinner - Tee has even slept through sanctuary tours!

Tee is blind, but you wouldn’t know it at first. He is adaptable, smart and quickly became well-adjusted to his home at the sanctuary. Being blind can be confusing for him when he meets new people, but once he recognizes you, you are his friend for life. He loves to interact with his people - playfully chasing and being chased and playing hide and seek! Tee is so beloved here that he even has “dinner dates” with one of our staff members where he gets to solve puzzles for dinner by finding food in toys and around his yard. The date always ends with a good snuggle in his cabin where he sometimes falls asleep with his head in her lap. He is a very strong dog and needs a confident handler, but in the end he thinks of himself as more of a lapdog!

Tee wants nothing more than to have a home of his own. He spent most of his life on a chain and he doesn’t need much to be happy. Just a warm place to stay, a good meal, and a consistent, loving owner. An ideal home life would include a fenced backyard so he can play and explore in a familiar environment. Due to his blindness, a home without small dogs, cats, or kids would also be preferred so Tee can feel comfortable in a calm and predictable household. If this handsome dog is pulling on your heartstrings, fill out an adoption questionnaire today! Tee would love to meet you.
