Pasado's offering a $10,000 Reward
Six Sea Lions Found Dead

Amongst the dead was a California sea lion pup

Pasado's is offering a $10,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the deaths of six Sea Lions including one California sea lion pup and two endangered Steller sea lions.

Their bodies were found in floating cages on Sunday near the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon, east of Portland. The sea lions have gathered there in the past to catch endangered Chinook salmon.  Wildlife agents had started to trap them last month and remove the ones considered to be the worst offenders.  However, there was only one "Booneville regular" sea lion amongst the dead.  The others were different species and also new arrivals to the dam.

THE GOAL IS TO UNCOVER THE TRUTH

Whether these deaths were intentional cruelty or not, Pasado’s Safe Haven wants to uncover exactly what happened to these animals and prevent any future injuries or deaths.

Those responsible for managing the wildlife maintenance of the sea lions also need to be  held accountable should these deaths be attributed to mismanagement of the trappings.

If you live in the area where this horrible incident occurred, help us bring justice for these animals by printing off our reward poster and posting it up. Click here to download the reward poster.

REWARDS DO WORK

Pasado's Safe Haven has offered numerous rewards which have successfully located perpetrators of animal cruelty.  Pasado’s Rewards have brought about the prosecution and conviction of teen boys who shot and killed cattle, a woman who dragged a dog behind a car, and other perpetrators of animal cruelty.

If you have any information regarding the deaths of these sea lions, please call 206-300-7218.
