Our Senior dogs were up bright and
early. Today was going to be a very special day! They
anxiously waited to greet the hundreds and hundreds of people who would
be coming... Did these kind people know that they would be helping
to save animals from death row by supporting Dog Bowl '08? The
dogs watched hopefully as the first visitors of the day trickled in. |

It was really hard to tell who was
happier to see who!

They came and they came! Soon a
line of people were waiting out the door. It brought tears to our
eyes to see that kind of support.

Thank you Linda T, for ever so graciously
gifting the Petsmart Giftcard back to the Pasado's animals. Here
is her beautiful letter she wrote us:
"Wow… I never win anything! This is so cool.
I would very much like Pasado’s to keep this gift card. I don’t know how
much the card is for but I know every bit helps, even if it just buys a
few tennis balls for the residents of Dog Towne or some cat nip toys for
the boys and girls in Miss Kitty’s City. I know it will get put to good
use. |
I do have 2 conditions though… and I think they’re pretty easy…
someone needs to go over to dog town and give Old Roy a super big
hug for me and then run over to Oliver’s pen and give him a little
back scratch. I fell in love with that little guy and he seemed to
like when I scratched his back.
I had the awesome opportunity to volunteer for 2 days after the
summer tour last year. I came all the way from PA just to take the
tour and thought why turn around and go right home if I could lend a
hand for a couple days. Karin was able arrange this for me and I
spent 2 marvelous days with Jenny, helping her with her daily
routine and while she was doing work in the office I helped the
volunteers in Miss Kitty’s City and gave the dogs some extra loving.

I sponsored Howard as a birthday gift for a friend and got to see him
and take a few pictures before he went to his forever home. I just saw
his picture from the Dog Bowl and he looks great. I’m sure that cart
really helps relieve some of the pain in his hind quarters. My favorite
domestic animal was Old Roy. My favorite farm animal was that silly
little pig that kept dumping his water bowl ever time I filled it. He
saw me coming and knew he could have some fun with me!
I truly believe that everyone involved with Pasado’s will have a place
in heaven because of all the wonderful work you do for the animals.
