Mama
She had borne a litter of feral kittens when a sweet woman found her and her young. They were brought to Pasado's Safe Haven so they wouldn't have to survive in the wild. The kittens were all adopted into wonderful homes, but Mama stayed here. She's so beautiful and loves to come running when visitors come to Kitty City.
Sponsor Mama as a gift for you or someone you love - and since she was such a good mother, this story is especially terrific for a "mom" in your life.
(Other good "mom" stories to send as gift sponsorships: Daisy or Bessie - two cows who gave birth and nearly died to save their babies!)

LBK (Little Bitty Kitty)
When a Little Black Kitten took a terrible fall at a construction site, a kind-hearted worker took it upon himself to rescue the cat and take him to a vet clinic. One leg was injured so severely that it had to be amputated. As the kitten recovered from surgery, adapting to its new three-legged status and regaining its strength, it became known as LBK - for “little black kitten”.
When pet cats aren’t spayed or neutered, they can have litters of kittens in the ‘wild’ that have never met a human before and therefore are terrified of us. We call these ‘ferals’. Feral cats are rarely, if ever, adopted.
Instead of facing euthanasia, LBK joined the lucky group of cats here at Pasado’s. Your gift sponsorship of LBK will keep him happy with all the catnip he could want. You'll be helping this very happy ending! |

Wendell
We found him on Christmas Day. Pasado's volunteers spend every holiday helping distribute new shelters, beds, food, toys, and probably most importantly, flea treatment to pets of the poor. They travel into the neediest of areas on Christmas Day. But they weren't prepared for what they found when they stumbled upon an old trailer in the mountains.
A woman had been caring for thirty+ cats. They had all been in-breeding, and were full of parasites, inside and out. Most were blind, but all were loved. It's just that the woman didn't have the means.
Over the course of a few months, all the cats were rounded up from the surrounding woods. They were spayed and neutered, and made healthy once again. Wendell, although blind in one eye, is now on the road to recovery. Sponsoring him will help us assist the next animal who needs us. In turn, your gift recipient will receive a story of hope, and love, and of a very happy ending! Sponsor

Minnie
When Minnie arrived at Pasado’s Safe Haven our veterinarian found that this young cat, just starting life, had a disease that would never allow her to live with other cats. As a "feline leukemia" cat, she moved in with...the humans of Pasado's! Now Minnie runs Pasado's People Barn (our offices).
If there is a box that's opened with office supplies or anything inside, she's the first inside. She doesn't know she's sick, but will most likely not live out her life the way her healthier pals in "Kitty City" at Pasado's will.
Your sponsorship would mean the world to her, and her story and photo would make such a unique gift for someone - and one that really means something |

Bella
She was a stray on the streets of a big city when she was spared a life of thirst and hunger.
Bella came to Pasado’s Safe Haven when a call came in about a sweet cat that had been living on hand-outs, at the mercy of strangers. She didn’t have shelter, and was victim to the wind and rain and of course the cold of winter. How could we turn her away?
Once at Pasado’s sanctuary, we knew she was safe, for good. But a new challenge in her life was discovered: Bella, as we had named her (for being so beautiful) was FIV-positive.
Happily, Bella will be able to live a happy and healthy life. FIV cats can be maintained for years without showing any symptoms of the disease. And you can bet that Bella has no clue that she carries a chronic illness. She enjoys Pasado’s Safe Haven’s Kitty City FIV digs, where FIV-infected cats like her can come and go, indoors and out, in a safe, secure area. |
Sponsoring Bella is giving a gift that you'll see on your gift recipient's office desk, refrigerator, on their mantle at home - places we've been told our "gift givers" notice their AdoptACritter Gift Sponsorships when they visit friends and family!
